Will is a qualified and experienced BACP registered therapeutic counsellor. He offers a collaborative approach where you decide on what issues to address, what order to address them in and how to proceed. He works with and towards your goals and provides a reflective space with gentle humour and understanding. He may use practical Solution Focused therapy to achieve future targets as well as addressing your feelings about current and past issues and circumstances.

About

I have experience working with a wide range of issues and if you are looking for an older male to discuss and address whatever is going on for you then I’m your man. Perhaps you want to replicate a relationship from the past (father, grandfather, brother) that was useful and is no longer available or perhaps its just something that you feel more comfortable discussing with a man.

Approach

My approach is based on the Person Centred Approach – you are the expert on you and your own inner world. I am practiced in holding the space for you to explore your feelings while in a safe and confidential environment. I also use Solution Focused therapy where we focus on the future you want, how that looks and how to identify the small steps to get you from here to there.

Experience

I qualified as a therapist in 2011 and spent several years working for Cruse, the bereavement charity. Now working in private practice I work with adults seeking help with a wide range of problems including anger management, bereavement, suicidal thoughts, work place issues, men’s issues and relationship difficulties. I also focus on life-stage challenges and the unexpected twists that come from being on a unique journey with no road map.
