Nadia Hepburn

Therapist & Bereavement Specialist

I am a Humanistic counsellor trained in the Person-centred approach. This type of counselling means we work with what’s going on for you in the ‘here and now’ but not neglecting, nor dismissing, the fact that we are made up of our life’s past experiences.

About

I am an empathetic, compassionate and professional counsellor offering a safe and non-judgemental space. My warm, calm nature will allow you to be heard fully and openly.  I am also passionate about supporting those who have been bereaved. I have trained with the national bereavement charity, Cruse, and worked within a cancer charity supporting patients and their families process their emotions through a diagnosis.

Approach

I work at a deep relational level, with my focus being on building a trusting relationship to support our work together. Without trust and connection, the work will only go so far.

I strongly believe that you are the expert in your life, not me. I don’t offer solutions but rather I am the co-pilot in our therapeutic relationship, helping you navigate your way through your thoughts to give you a greater understanding of what is going on for you.

Experience

I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) running my own private practice. Alongside my work for Wellness Cloud and Parent Cloud, I also work for the NHS Talking Therapies and for a brain cancer charity.  I do work with a number of presenting issues including, but not restricted to, bereavement, health diagnosis and prognosis, marriage breakdowns, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, anger issues, parenthood, and low self-worth. My specialist interest is in grief and bereavement and I have been trained by the national bereavement charity Cruse.
