Lucy Gardner

Personal & Professional Coach

There are lots of reasons why coaching might be for you. You may be feeling anxious, out of control, low in confidence and motivation, or perhaps you just feel stuck. You may be a leader with challenging times ahead, just been promoted and experiencing imposter syndrome, or perhaps you are looking to take the next step. Maybe you have a new opportunity, or are at a crossroads, perhaps returning to work and you would like some space to explore your options, work out what’s next and how to juggle it all.

Wherever you are in your personal or professional journey I can offer you a supportive safe space where you can explore, learn and challenge yourself to move on to the next level.

About

I have significant experience of senior operational and strategic leadership in both the public and private sectors. I have managed high performing recruitment and HR teams; delivered major transformation programmes; and been responsible for multi-million-pound budgets. The key theme for me throughout has been people. I am passionate about supporting others to reach their potential and goals.

I am also a mum of two energetic young boys. Life can feel like a daily exercise in reprioritisation and conflict management – and that’s even before switching the laptop on!

I have a special interest in supporting people struggling with infertility, having experienced the psychological strain that this can have and the impact on work, home life and relationships.

Approach

I am naturally curious, supportive and empathetic. My approach is relational, person centred and integrated. This means I draw upon different psychological theories to work with and support you. We are all different so our work together will be suited to what you need. Through explorative questions, active listening and challenge I will work with you to raise your awareness; identify limiting beliefs and attitudes, and support you with the changes you want to make.

I believe that we know ourselves best, that we have the resources to find our own solutions, and that only through developing our self-awareness can we make change happen. Sometimes, however, we all need support. We do not always listen to ourselves. Our inner (often critical) voice, our beliefs, behaviours and our values can knock our confidence, confuse us and hold us back. Through coaching we can quieten this voice, learn more about ourselves and identify how to make change happen.
