Registered Nutritionist
Hi, I’m Anna, a registered nutritionist helping individuals and families build a healthier, more positive relationship with food. I offer warm, person-centred, non-diet support, drawing on intuitive and mindful eating alongside specialist eating disorder training. With over 15 years’ experience and as founder of Nourishing Families CIC, I help adults and children move beyond food confusion and guilt towards confident, balanced and sustainable eating.
About
Hi, I’m Anna, a registered nutritionist specialising in helping individuals and families build a healthier, more positive relationship with food. Mealtimes can be a source of joy and nourishment, yet eating is often complicated and challenging. In a world full of confusing and often conflicting food messages, I aim to help you see through the noise to find a more balanced way.
Motivated by a desire to help families and children and prevent eating issues occur, I founded Nourishing Families CIC, a social enterprise providing diet and behaviour-change workshops and courses. Nourishing Families vision is that everyone should be able to grow up and live with ease around food to nurture wellbeing.
Approach
Our connection with food is lifelong, and it underpins both mental and physical health. I offer warm, empathetic and person-centred support, taking time to understand your situation and working collaboratively towards doable, sustainable changes. My work is grounded in a non-diet approach that moves away from guilt, shame and rigid food rules, and towards more confident, attuned and enjoyable eating, helping you build skills and strategies that last.
I draw from Intuitive Eating and Mindful Eating, combining these with practical strategies from my eating disorder work, alongside insights from additional training in neurodiversity, ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), emotional eating, and counselling skills.
I can help if you are:
– A parent with selective or picky eaters
– A parent who wants to improve family mealtimes
– Tired of dieting and want an approach focussed on wellbeing rather than weight
– Looking for supportive way to overcome eating challenges such as emotional eating, binge eating, restricted eating and bulimia.
Before your first session, it can be helpful to keep a short 3–5-day food diary and complete a brief health questionnaire, so we have a clear starting point to work from together. Sessions are practical and action-focused, and we’ll agree realistic, manageable steps for you to work on between meetings.
Experience
I’m currently doing my health coaching certification with the Health Coaches Academy. I am a full member of BANT, the professional body for nutritional therapy, and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
I have over 15 years’ clinical experience of supporting clients work towards their nutrition and eating goals. With my social enterprise, I’ve partnered with children’s centres, schools and community groups to deliver workshops and group programmes that have been independently evaluated and proven effective.
