About

Step parenting can be a tough “gig” but it can also be a lonely one.  With so many dynamics at play step parenting can be complex, overwhelming, challenging and sometimes it feels like you just can’t get it right.

I firmly believe that with the right support and mindset we can turn this potentially stressful situation into a space for optimism and a more harmonious family.   From my own experience, I learned that there was a significant gap in professional support available for stepparents.  We are a growing and underrepresented group and I wanted to change that.

I have first-hand experience of life as a step parent coupled with decades of experience as a corporate director and leadership coach.  I’ve combined my passion for nurturing and developing individuals with positive change to harness healthy & empowered family relationships.  I am proud to be accredited as an Associate Credentialed Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), trained in restorative communication as well as group coaching.

When I am not coaching, I am walking on North London’s Hampstead Heath, in the dance studio or trying a new recipe for the discerning tastes of my two step sons (now 14 and 17) and daughter (now 4).

Approach

Through our work, I will help you bring awareness and alignment to your role, create space for new thinking and ultimately bring out the best in yourself and your family.  My experience as a Corporate Director as well as my 8 years of experience as a Step Parent has taught me the power of clarity, simplicity and confidence in stepfamilies.

We will begin our process with understanding where you are currently and where you would like to be.  My open style of coaching creates an environment to experiment, explore, and where appropriate, to have a bit of fun.  You will leave each session with tools, techniques or actions that will bring you closer to your intended outcome.

Our sessions will be designed entirely around your needs, but some of the areas we might explore include:

  • Gaining a vision for your role and aligning that vision with your partner and family
  • Being intentional in your role and rebuilding your confidence
  • Cultivating healthy and respectful relationships
  • Establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries that work for you
Experience

I was certified as a Coach in 2018 and am now a qualified personal and leadership coach and accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF ACC).  My coaching practice originated in Executive and Leadership coaching following a successful career as a Corporate Director in the property/hospitality industry.  I found my passion in supporting step parents in 2022 and now support both step parents and leaders.

I am a lifelong learner and love to deepen my practice in any way I can so I can provide as much value as possible to my clients.  I hold an MBA from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass), I am trained in group coaching and restorative communication practices.
