Sonia López-Larios

Menopause Nutritional Therapist

I am mBANT Registered Nutritionist and CNHC Registered Practitioner with over seven years of experience in supporting women through all stages of the menopause. Menopause is a time of profound change, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I can help manage symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, mood changes, and weight fluctuations naturally, with the right nutrition for you, giving confidence and clarity.

About

My journey into nutrition began during my own early menopause experience while working in a demanding corporate career. I was constantly tired, stressed, and struggling with hormonal imbalance. Through little nutrition and lifestyle changes, I discovered how to restore balance and vitality. That transformation inspired me to retrain as a Nutritional Therapist with the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) and later completed a six-month clinical practice with the prestigious Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION), supervised by the University of Portsmouth. This training deepened my evidence-based and results-driven approach to women’s health.

I’m a registered member of The British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), committed to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Approach

I take a collaborative approach to menopause, creating realistic plans that fit into your lifestyle. Every 45-minute consultation begins with understanding the root causes of your symptoms. Together, we’ll design a tailored nutrition plan with simple recipes, targeted supplements, and lifestyle strategies that are easy to follow.

Before your first session, I’ll ask you to complete a short health questionnaire and a two-day food diary. This helps me get a complete picture of your diet, hormonal health, and overall wellbeing, so I can offer precise, meaningful guidance.

Experience

With over seven years of clinical experience, I’ve supported many women through peri-menopause and post-menopause. My experience taught me that small, consistent changes can have a lasting impact. Through education, encouragement and evidence-based strategies I help clients achieve tangible results that improve both physical and emotional wellbeing.
