About

I am Dr Bev Taylor. I have been a Chartered Psychologist for over 10 years, obtaining my Doctorate in Health Psychology from Staffordshire University in 2010. I have worked as a academic researcher and research consultant before focusing on how I can support those with menopause to feel better and stay in the workplace via education, training, one-to-one support and the development of workplace policies.

Approach

As a menopause educator and coach, I work one-to-one/with small groups of individuals to help them to understand their unique experience of menopause, including why they are experiencing particular symptoms and how they can manage these through various health and lifestyle changes. I understand how challenging symptoms like hot flushes, sleep disruption, brain fog, incontinence, anxiety and low confidence can be. I believe our menopause experience is unique and so we should be supported in deciding how we want to manage it. I want to help you to feel more like you again, to appreciate your own unique experience and thrive during this important life transition.

Experience

I have been a Chartered Psychologist for over 10 years, obtaining my Doctorate in Health Psychology from Staffordshire University in 2010. As part of my doctorate I managed a very successful clinical trial looking at cognitive behavioural therapy for menopause hot flushes and night sweats. I have also written various articles on menopause, including blogs, specific features for magazines and for academic journals. I was researching, working and writing about menopause before it was cool!

In recent years I have focused on one-to-one education and coaching. Menopause in a unique and complex time and I have found that with a bit of education in the science behind menopause and its symptoms, and a few changes to lifestyle, we can thrive well into our menopausal years and beyond!
