About

Emelia is a registered Nutritional Therapist (mBANT) and SOS Trained Feeding Therapist. She specialises in family health, children’s nutrition and pre and post partum nutrition. She is passionate in helping to support families to raise healthy, happy and resilient children, using food and nutrition to make real changes to their family’s health and wellbeing.

Her own children suffered with multiple allergies, digestive issues, reflux and skin conditions, leading to a long health care journey for the whole family. This experience led her to change careers and study to become a nutritionist, graduating with a Distinction from the College of Naturopathic Medicine and then setting up her busy private practice supporting families, children and mums with personalised nutrition in West London.

Emelia is committed to continuing education and development and since graduated has completed training as a SOS Feeding Therapist, a holistic programme to support children who are fussy and selective eaters. She has completed further education in children’s nutrition, nutrition for neurodiversity and pregnancy nutrition with the Institute of Optimum Nutrition. She continues to access further training and development in allergies and gut health for children.

Approach

Using a functional nutrition approach Emelia will look at the whole child and family environment to create tailored nutrition and lifestyle plans. Prior to the consultation you will receive a health questionnaire and 2 day food and lifestyle diary to complete for you or your child. Within the questionnaire you will identify the 1-3 health goals you are looking to address via working with a Nutritionist.

The consultation is a collaborative process, whereby you will work with Emelia to create a sustainable and achievable plan. During the 45 minute consultation you will prioritise the health goals to focus on and review the health questionnaire and food diary. Emelia will explain how current diet and lifestyle may be affecting you/your child’s health and what changes are required. You will receive a personalised 1 page plan with a clear health and nutrition plan. Supplement suggestions may be included as appropriate.

It is typical (dependant on your goals) that you may need more than 1 session to achieve the best results. If you have booked a session for your child the child and parent will both need present (for some or all of the time dependant on the age of the child). It is expected that the parent will work with the child to implement the suggested changes and take responsibility for these individually or jointly with the child (age dependant).
